There are essentially two important factors when evaluating insurance companies: 1) cost of premiums, and 2) customer service, particularly when you've submitted a claim. I go through Progressive Auto Insurance they are great. I got into an auto accident that was not my fault. They were on top of it. Now there is State Farm Insurance which is okay. They are high priced, and if you get into an auto accident they use crap parts for your car. American Family Insurance is the worst. They took 3 months to get me my money when a lady hit me who went through there auto insurance which meant I did not have a car for 3months. Thank Goodness for progressive auto insurance who gave me a rental car. Your choice who to go through. I enjoy being with my Insurance Company.

If your car is more than five years old, collision insurance isn't the best deal. If you get it, go for a high deductible.
